Will it work with my gauge?
It's designed for VDO electric temperature gauges with a 250°F (120°C) maximum on the dial. VDO senders aren't calibrated for other brands' gauges, so check your gauge's maximum reading before you order.
Do I need thread sealant?
No. VDO says not to use Teflon tape or sealant, because it interferes with grounding and causes wrong readings. Also don't install it in a T or angle adapter, which keeps the tip out of the fluid flow.
Is there a warranty?
It's covered by VDO's manufacturer's warranty. Speedstuff is an authorized Continental/VDO distributor, so you're getting genuine VDO parts.
